· Making Strides Against Breast Cancer - Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is more than just the name of a walk; it describes the progress we’re making together to save lives and end breast cancer. 09/15/2011

Cancer touches more than just the people diagnosed. It has an impact on everyone around them. That's why the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk unites communities to celebrate people who have battled breast cancer, educate people about ways to reduce their risk, and empower communities to join the fight. Every dollar you raise and every step you take will save lives
by helping people stay well and get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back against breast cancer.
Since 1993, nearly 7 million walkers have raised more than $400 million to help fight breast cancer through participating in the noncompetitive, 3- to 5-mile events. In 2010 alone, nearly 800,000 walkers across the country collected more than $60 million to save lives from breast cancer. Spotlight Pages is aligned with the American Cancer Society in finding a cure, which is why we actively contribute.

Diversity
· Spotlight Pages is now supporting the USOC. 10/28/2008
In 1978, the passage of The Amateur Sports Act (now The Ted
Stevens Olympic and Amateur Sports Act - revised in 1998) as federal
law appointed the U.S. Olympic Committee as the coordinating body for
all Olympic-related athletic activity in the United States. The vision of the USOC is to enable America's athletes to realize their Olympic and Paralympic dreams.
The USOC is recognized by the International Olympic Committee as the sole entity in the United States whose mission involves training, entering and underwriting the full expenses for the U.S. teams in the Olympic, Paralympic, Pan American and Parapan American Games. In addition to being the steward of the U.S. Olympic Movement, the USOC is the moving force for support of sports in the United States that are on the program of the Olympic, Paralympic, Pan American and Parapan American Games.
The U.S. Olympic Committee also oversees the process by which U.S. cities seek to be selected as a Candidate City to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games, winter or summer, or the Pan American Games. In addition, the USOC approves the U.S. trial sites for the Olympic, Paralympic and Pan American Games team selections.
The United States Olympic Committee helps U.S. atheletes realize their dreams, and for that, we believe the USOC deserves our support.
